In Ayurveda, the tradition holds that each of us is a mix of three doshas, Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, and leans toward one. Kapha is the steady, earthy one, associated with structure and cool, damp weather, and the Ayurvedic kitchen has long answered it with warm, pungent, brightening spices. This caffeine-free blend sits in that tradition: a warm, aromatic, lightly minty cup made in the spirit of the spices Kapha has long been paired with.
It is gentler than a heavy masala blend. Green cardamom and clove give it a sweet, warm aromatic base, ginger adds a clean bite, and lemon balm and peppermint lift the whole cup with a cool, herbal brightness on the finish. The result is warming and spiced without being heavy, sweet on its own with no sugar added.
Steep it five to seven minutes in freshly boiled water. The spices are pungent, so a long over-steep can turn it sharp; pull it when it smells aromatic rather than bitter. It makes a good caffeine-free morning or mid-afternoon cup, a clean alternative when you want something warm without coffee. A slice of lemon or orange brightens it further if you like.
Caffeine-free. Vegan. No salt, no sugar, no added flavors.

Is this tea only for Kapha types?
No. In Ayurveda this blend belongs to the family of teas traditionally associated with Kapha, but anyone can drink it. On its own it is simply a warm, lightly minty, caffeine-free spiced cup, good for anyone who likes cardamom and ginger with a cool finish.
Why should I not add honey to boiling water?
Why should I not add honey to boiling water?
It is a traditional Ayurvedic preparation point that many tea drinkers ask about. The custom is to let the tea cool slightly before stirring in honey, rather than adding it to water straight off the boil, by waiting until you can comfortably hold a finger in the cup. It also simply tastes better, since very hot water can dull honey's flavor.
