The squeeze of lemon a lot of people add to their Earl Grey, already in the tin. Lemon Earl Grey is Earl Grey (bergamot-scented black tea) blended with real lemon peel, so the bright citrus is built into the leaf instead of something you reach for at the cup. Brew it hot for a lively morning cup, pour it over ice for a sunny afternoon glass, or add milk and honey for a lemon-bright take on a London Fog (Earl Grey with steamed milk and vanilla). Bergamot and lemon peel stack two citrus notes into one clean lift.

Blended in small batches in Portland with real bergamot, the fragrant citrus behind Earl Grey's scent, and cut lemon peel that steeps into a fresh, zesty top note. The black tea underneath stays full and smooth.

Ingredients: black tea, bergamot essence, lemon peel. Contains caffeine. No sugar, no preservatives. Naturally vegan.

Common Questions

How do I brew it?

Use one teaspoon per eight ounces of water. Heat fresh water to around 200 degrees F and pour it over the tea. Steep for three minutes, then strain. Use fresh leaves each time you brew.

Do I still need to add lemon?

No. The lemon peel is blended into the tea, so the citrus is already there. If you like it extra bright, a small squeeze of fresh lemon layers on top fine. Skip milk when you add lemon, since the two do not sit well together.

Does it have caffeine?

Yes. It sits on a black tea base and carries the moderate caffeine of a black cup, which suits a morning or midday pour. For later in the day, keep the serving small.

Is it good iced?

Yes. Brew it a touch stronger than usual, let it cool, and pour it over plenty of ice. The lemon and bergamot read even brighter cold, so it makes a crisp, citrusy iced tea with no sugar needed.
