Mexican Oregano

This type of Oregano is grown in Mexico or California and is stronger and bitter than the Mediterranean Oregano. More robust than Greek Oregano, Mexica Oregano stands up to the stronger flavors used in Mexican cooking such as hot chili peppers and cumin, which could overwhelm the more delicate oregano from the Mediterranean.

Oregano contains chemicals that might help ail coughing and spasms. Oregano also might help digestion by increasing bile flow and fighting against some bacteria, viruses, fungi, intestinal worms, and other parasites.
