The tall glass of sweet, minty green tea poured at a Moroccan table, foaming from a long pour held high above the cup: that is the drink this blend is built for. Moroccan mint is gunpowder-style green tea (rolled green leaves) with bright spearmint, and it brews into a refreshing, cooling, lightly brisk cup. Serve it hot in small glasses, sweetened to taste, or pour it over ice for summer.

In Morocco, mint tea is the heart of hospitality, brewed strong with green tea and fresh mint and poured from a height to build a little foam on top. The green tea gives body and a clean, grassy base; the spearmint brings the cool, sweet lift. We pack ours fresh in small batches in Portland.

Getting it to taste like the version travelers remember comes down to a strong brew, plenty of mint in the pour, and sweetening while the tea is still hot.

Green tea leaves and spearmint. No sugar, no preservatives, naturally vegan. Green tea carries caffeine, lighter than a black tea.

Common Questions

How do I brew it?

Use one teaspoon per eight ounces of water. Heat fresh water to about 175°F, pour it over the leaves, and steep for three minutes. Use fresh leaves each time you brew.

How do I make it taste like the mint tea I had in Morocco?

Brew it strong, sweeten it while it is hot so the sugar melts in, and pour from a height to aerate the tea and raise a little foam. Serve it in small glasses. The high pour and the strong, sweet brew are the traits people remember most.

Is it sweet in the tin?

No. There is no added sugar in the blend, so you control the sweetness. The traditional style is quite sweet, but you sweeten each pot to taste rather than buying it pre-sweetened.

Is it good iced?

Yes. Brew a strong, sweetened batch, cool it, and pour over ice with a fresh mint sprig for a cooling summer glass. The spearmint stays crisp and bright over ice.
