Golden puff pastry twists coated in warm pumpkin spice, kissed with ginger, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon. Serve them warm with tea or hot cider for a cozy fall treat that’s more treat than trick.
Ingredients
(Makes 10–12 twists)
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tsp Pumpkin Spice Blend
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- ¼ tsp ground cloves
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp melted butter (or coconut oil for vegan option)
- 1 tbsp milk or plant milk, for brushing
- Optional drizzle:
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp saffron-infused warm milk

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Pumpkin Spice Blend, ginger, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, and brown sugar in a small bowl.
- Brush the puff pastry sheet with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with the spice-sugar mix.
- Fold the pastry in half, gently press, and cut into ½-inch wide strips.
- Twist each strip a few times and place on the baking sheet.
- Brush tops lightly with milk for shine.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Optional: Drizzle with saffron glaze made by whisking powdered sugar and saffron milk.
Serve warm with chai or apple cider, they’ll disappear faster than you can say boo! 👻
