Bright, sweet-tart orange over a smooth black tea, juicy and approachable like a liquid orange drop. Real dried orange peel and natural orange essence carry the citrus. Brew it hot for a cozy cup, or brew it strong over ice for a crisp, classic orange iced tea. It also makes a smooth orange latte with frothed milk.

We use clean outer orange zest and natural essence, so the citrus stays fresh and rounded. Scented orange teas have poured through British afternoon tea service for well over a century, alongside marmalade scones and clotted cream, and this blend keeps that easy, comforting note.

Ingredients: black tea, orange peel, and natural orange essence. No sugar, no preservatives. Naturally vegan.

Common Questions

How do I brew it?

Use 1 teaspoon per 8 ounces of water, heat the water to about 200°F, and steep 3 minutes. Use fresh leaves each brew. Keep to 3 minutes; a longer steep draws dry tannins that drown the citrus.

Is this the same as orange pekoe?

No, and it is a common mix-up. Orange pekoe is a grading term for the size and style of the leaf, with no orange flavor at all. This is a true orange-flavored black tea, made with real orange peel and orange essence.

Will the orange peel make it bitter?

Not when brewed right. Bitterness in citrus teas comes from the white inner pith and from oversteeping. This blend uses clean outer zest, so hold the steep to 3 minutes for a sweet, bright cup.

Does it work with milk or as a spiced winter tea?

Both. The natural oils in the peel will not curdle milk, so it makes a smooth orange latte. For a warming version, brew it with a cinnamon stick, a couple of cloves, or a slice of fresh ginger.

Does it have caffeine?

Yes. The black tea base gives a moderate, everyday lift.
